Smith Fertilizer & Grain

Jamie Kendrick is the office manager at the Pleasantville Location. She has worked at Smith’s for over 4 years but her first ‘real’ job was at McDonalds.  She says that the toughest part of her job is the long hours during the busy times. When she isn’t at work she enjoys hanging out with her friends, her boyfriend and shopping. Her favorite vacation spot is the Mall of America. Someone she admires is her younger sister because she works very hard to get when she wants and has accomplished a lot. Jamie hopes to be able to move into a place of her own sometime soon. Something not everyone knows about her is that she loves watching pro football.

Jim Shemanski is the operations manager at our Knoxville location. He worked at Maytag for 20 years before joining us in March of 2008. His favorite thing about his job is helping all the farmers. His most recent accomplishment is climbing Pikes Peak and he would like to accomplish seeing Mt Everest in person. When Jim isn’t at work he enjoys biking, hiking, running and kayaking.  He admires Lance Armstrong because he beat cancer and is still the best bike rider ever. Jim has two daughters, Nikki and Amy. Something not everyone knows about him is that he cried when he saw Old Yeller.

Alicia Schossow works in the Knoxville office as a professional billing clerk. She has been with the company for 2 years and lives in Knoxville with her husband Branden. They were married on June 25^th, 2009 after dating for 9 years. They have a dog and two cats. She says that the best part of her job is that working with billing is always a challenge.  Something new comes up every day and I enjoy figuring out what needs to be done with every bill. She admires her parents because they have always been there for me when times are tough and when times are good.  They never let things way out of hand when times are tough; they always help me get through them. When she isn’t at work she enjoys going to races, hanging out with friends and riding motorcycles.
