Spring Seeding Time

The weather is starting to warm up and spring is feeling closer every day. Spring seedings will start when the soil dries up in the next few weeks. It is time to line up your alfalfa, grass, other small seeds, and fertilizer for spring seedings.

At SFG we handle an excellent lineup of alfalfa, small seeds, and nurse crops to give you the highest quality forages possible. We have a good lineup of Croplan alfalfa and LFT grass seed as well. We offer varieties of clover, which includes a premium 3-year clover that is a top performer. SFG handles top-performing orchard and brome grass, perennial rye, seed oats, and other forages to suit your needs.

With many different combinations possible, SFG agronomists can make recommendations for successful alfalfa hay, grass hay, blended grass/alfalfa hay, or a clover/grass hay. It all just depends on your soil conditions, needs, and long-term stand desires.
