Tough Equipment for Tough Cattle

A good mineral program really comes down to two things. Having a good mineral to feed and having a feeder that keeps it from ending up soaked, blown away, or trampled into the mud. No sense spending money on good mineral if half of it gets wasted before the cows ever eat it.

That is one thing we like about the AmeriAg mineral feeders. They are built tough and simple. The heavy poly feeder sits down in a tire so cattle do not tip them over every other day. The covered opening also helps keep rain and snow out so mineral stays dry and cattle keep eating it like they should.

Using these feeders along with SFG mineral is a good way to make sure your cows are actually getting the nutrition you are paying for. Good mineral intake helps with overall herd health, breeding, growth, and keeping cattle performing through the grazing season.

Another nice thing is they are easy to move around. If you rotate pastures or just want to change where cattle are standing, you can pull them around with a pickup or ATV pretty easy. They also make larger quad feeders for bigger groups of cattle so more cows can eat at once without making a mess out of everything.

At SFG we work with both small and large livestock operations, and we know every producer is looking for equipment and nutrition programs that actually work without creating more headaches. Simple, durable feeders and a quality mineral program can make a big difference no matter the size of the herd.
