Harvest Time Stresses

This week I want to talk about stress - both yours and your herd's. Weaned calves are under stress, and with it being harvest time so are those of you who row crop. Here's how SFG can help both you and your herd with stress this fall. 

Even if you're in a combine, the cattle will still bawl come feeding time if you aren't there. Let us take some of the stress off your plate! We offer delivery of a wide variety of rations and delivery options. Even if it's just during harvest, we'll be glad to load up your creep feeders so you don't have to. We also offer flatbed delivery of bagged feeds, so if you don't have time to run into town, just give us a call and we can bring it to you.

If you're weaning, be sure to put out some stress tubs. This will help the calves acclimate to being on creep feed. These tubs will help develop their rumen and keep them from getting sick. We also have stress feeds and additives to add to your pelleted or grind-and-mix rations. The last thing you need when you're trying to keep the combine rolling is a sick calf.
