Feed Team


Brandon grew up in Oskaloosa, Iowa where he currently resides with his wife of almost 20 years and their three children. Brandon has been working in the agriculture industry since 2009 working at multiple facilities managing feed, grain, agronomy, fuel, and propane operations. Brandon spent over 11 years as a grain buyer before transitioning into co-op management for the last 4 years. Prior to working in the ag industry, Brandon lived in Kansas where he worked as a Procurement Expeditor for Black & Veatch, an engineering firm that designs, builds and constructs nuclear power plants. Brandon has a degree in Business Administration, a CDL w/tanker and hazmat and is a certified PCQI for animal feed.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and attending his kids’ activities. He enjoys coaching, playing golf and working out. He’s coached several youth teams over the years including softball, volleyball, baseball, football and basketball. Brandon is very involved in his church and his community. He’s been on the little league board for many years and has been the President for the past 7 years. He loves volunteering his time for the youth, community and playing music for his church.


Mike was born and raised on a livestock farm in Hubbard, Iowa, Northeast of Ames. He went to college in Muscatine, where he achieved a two-year degree in animal nutrition and agronomy. He has worked with livestock producers across Iowa for over 30 years and enjoys meeting with customers.


CD Brinegar works in feed sales with SFG out of the Albia location. He is from the Eddyville area where he farms with his Dad and brother on a cow-calf, custom silage, and feedlot operation. He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Studies and Animal Science in fall of 2022.
CD enjoys helping with the local FFA Alumni, participating with the County Cattlemen, and raising purebred Angus cattle with his wife on their ranch.


Mark Jacobs leads the front counter sales at the Albia location. He has worked with SFG since 2006 when the Albia location was purchased from Roemerman Feed & Grain. Prior to that he had worked with Roemerman Feed & Grain since 1999, doing front counter sales. He enjoys working with the customers, helping them to achieve their livestock and agronomy needs. He is a long time Albia resident. He graduated from Albia High School, then attended Iowa State University. He graduated from Iowa State with a B.S. in Animal Science. He currently has a cow calf operation that occupies his spare time. He especially enjoys watching the calves grow up.
