Stretching Forage with Lick Tubs

The mild weather has been good for extended fall grazing of pastures and stock fields. Lick tubs are good options to help stretch those resources. Also, some producers have noticed their hay consumption has decreased from the use of lick tubs.
Lick tubs are available for all classes of livestock. The molasses in the tubs give critical energy to sheep in the late stages of pregnancy to combat lambing paralysis. SFG has both Crystalyx by Hubbard and EnergiLass by Kent available. Contact your local SFG office for your lick tub needs.
