Bringing in a New Year

Dec 04, 2023

Thanksgiving is behind us and for the most part all the combines have been put away for the season. With Christmas and New Years fast approaching its time to look ahead to the 2024 crop season. We need to evaluate fall work and what we have left to do next spring.

We had a good run on anhydrous, dry fertilizer, and lime so far this fall with the weather cooperating to get all this on in a timely fashion. I have been working on getting fall work and sampling caught up and getting planned work for spring entered in our agronomy plans.

I encourage everyone to take some time in these cold days ahead and sit down with us and get a detailed plan together for next spring to make planting go smooth and set the stage for top yields in the spring. This is a good time to look over seed varieties that worked well last year and to evaluate changes in chemical programs too. If you would like to meet to get your spring agronomy plans in order give your local SFG agronomist a call.
