Spring Calving Time

It’s almost spring calving time! Getting your new calves home is an exciting time, and the possibilities for the coming show season are endless! However, nothing can erase those feelings faster than having to worry about a calf that won’t start on feed. That’s why SFG carries textured feeds that are a great option to appeal to newly received calves. We have Blueprint calving mineral with bio-mos to reduce scours at calving time and get your cows set up for breeding. We also carry OptiPrime, a colostrum replacer, that contains globulin proteins and gives your calf the boost it needs to get going.

We have commodity mixes, along with a full line of Hubbard and Kent products. We offer bulk and bagged products, whether it’s our SFG mixes or one of your own custom blends. We will deliver bulk and bags the next day if orders are received by 12pm. But if you are in a pinch, we may be able to serve you that same day! We also have creep feeders for rent. We have our resident experts Mark Jacobs, Mike King, and our newest feed salesman CD Brinegar on-site to provide custom nutrition recommendations. We can make rations for cattle, sheep, goats, swine, horses, deer and more!

We also want to remind you that feed safety and quality are a top priority here at SFG. Animal feed must be safe for consumption for your animals. It must be free from mycotoxins and any other chemicals that would be harmful to your animals. We have a full-time PCQI manager to monitor all feed ingredients, procedures, and policies. Rest assured, we do our best to make sure your feed is the best.
