Lick Tub Pasture Management

Hot weather has already hit us this summer. The livestock are selectively grazing the pastures looking for the best grass. Recent rains should help in replenishing the grass supply.
 
Studies out west show that if you move lick tubs around the pastures, the livestock will consume the grass in that area better. Protein-based or mineral-based lick tubs can work in this type of pasture management.
